This is a hardwood cane for E.J. During.
E.J. saw the cane I made for myself and asked me if I could make one for him. I said, "Yes I can" and I did. He gave me total liberty to choose the head figure. This is an adaptation of a figure on a secretary desk owned by my grandmother.
6 pieces of hardwood: oak, cherry, walnut, zebra wood, bubinga and purple heart. Each piece ripped to a 60 degrees prism and laminated into a 4 inch diameter hunk of multiple hardwoods. Carved down to a twisted abstract cane with a horse's head at top.
