Evidently a Rickenbacker model #220. Came with clear shellac finish and solid black plastic pickguard.
I stripped it, carved in one of my favorite portraits of John (sans glasses)
Painted the body black and made a white pickguard to match the one John played in the early days.
John's signature and cartoon logo which are very popular these days on art work and even custom shirts was engraved into the laminated white pickguard.
