This is a plaque I made for the door of my mother's apartment. A gift for Christmas, 2008, honoring her long and devoted work with children
"Mammolina" is the nickname of Maria Montessori (little mama), who founded the Montessori method of children's education. Mom was a Montessori teacher for over 20 years. She took the nickname for herself out of respect for Dr. Montessori.
