Olson of Wheaton Illinois Sent me this sketch of what he wanted
carved on his guitar.
After discussing it some, he sent me his guitar.
A
1996 USA Fender Stratocaster Plus Deluxe with Crimson finish,
active pickups and locking tuners made in the 50th anniversary
year.
Though
the original body had an ash veneer, the bulk of the body
turned out to be alder (so Fender could save $23 ).
I sanded off the top veneer and carved the design in the
alder which was finished
(along
with the neck and head stock) in a pine stain and 7
coats of lacquer.
She
plays and sounds as good as she looks.
