Samuel L. Jackson

johnny called me in November, 2018 to say he wanted a guitar carved for Samuel Jackson's birthday present. He wanted Sam to be holding a golf club and the phrase "I LOVE THE 70's" on it somewhere. We sorted through lots of pix of Sam and clubs and came up with this design. As it was a surprise birthday gift I couldn't post my usual daily progress on my website's current project page. So I texted Johnny updates every day or so. And we fine tuned it like that.

I selected a mahogany Les Paul Jr. style body from Guitar Fetish which allowed more area for carving than would a multiple pickup style. All the hardware is gold plated, including the GFS P-90 style humbucking pickup, wrap around bridge/tailpiece and Sperzel style locking tuners. A bolt-on maple neck with rosewood fret board.
