Gary had long admired the Yellow Submarine bass I made years ago. He told his girlfriend, Georgia, it was the coolest guitar he had ever seen. So, when she wanted to get him something really special for his upcoming birthday, she contacted me and commissioned an even cooler one. This one is a 6 string, right handed guitar. The real deal.
The single pickup is a gold plated "lipstick" type alnico from GFS. One volume and one tone control, mounted in the forward portholes along with the input jack. The bridge is a brass hardtail from HipShot. Tuners are Gotoh style locking type also from GFS, mounted in the Blue Meanie hand job headstock.
Georgia had it hidden away in her apartment until Gary's birthday. He had been watching the progress of it on my daily progress site, never knowing he was the "Anonymous Collector" who was going to own it. Gary was shocked and awed when he opened it on the big day. Now... that's a cool girlfriend!
Some years later, Georgia smashed it to bits because Gary couldn't keep his personal submarine from exploring foreign C's.
