Arryn contacted me from South Africa by email when he saw I was working on my second Yellow Submarine guitar. The original Yellow Sub was a left handed bass for a rock'n'roll restaurant in Wilmington, Delaware. This one was a right handed 6 string electric. Normally I don't like to duplicate my designs. But the second was different from the first. And Arryn wanted something completely different. He wanted it, not only playable, but stage worthy. A REAL performance guitar.
So number 3 (G2) has dual GFS "Lil Killer" humbuckers, run through a rotary selector switch, mounted with the 2 volume and 1 tone dial in the 4 portholes. The tone knob is for the neck side pickup while the bridge puppy runs naked to the jack, making for a NASTY singing voice. I had to move the input jack down the body to the yellow patch piece (sorta looks like an anchor grommet) The bridge is a black anodized brass hardtail from HipShot. Tuners are Gotoh style locking type also from GFS.
Arryn found the Yellow Submarine guitar strap on eBay. They wouldn't ship to South Africa so I bought 2 of them. I had a hard time letting go of go of this bad boy. Plays great - sounds tres kewel !!!
